We really enjoyed our stay. From the moment we arrived, we were met with huge friendliness and felt truly at home. The house is old and family‑run, well maintained, keeping its authenticity without sacrificing comfort, and it has a lightness that’s rare in such homes. What impressed us most was the garden, where the care and sensitivity in its upkeep are evident, and how it blends with the house. Overall, it’s a beautiful example of traditional Portuguese architecture. A special thank you to the owner and her daughter for how they welcomed us. Thank you for opening your doors. We loved everything, except that the surrounding landscape and heritage don’t always receive the same level of care and attention as this house and its garden. That’s a broader issue tied to regional planning policies that aren’t always spot on, and naturally beyond the control of those who welcomed us so well.
