There were plenty of cocktails and parking, a Sunday lunch, and a bath in the Master Suite. The dining room floor needed hoovering before breakfast, with chips and food bits on the floor under the tables. Beware of large parties and weddings.

I liked the restaurant’s vibe, how fast the service was, and the food and drinks were solid. The mattress was old and uncomfortable, springs were visible and both sides of the double bed sagged. The bathroom fan kept running for 30 minutes after the light was off, and I could hear my neighbour using the toilet at 12:30 and 1:30 am while I was in room 1854 Courtyard.

The room was stunning, the bed super soft, and the bathroom amazing! The staff helped with check‑in and sent the invoice right away when I asked at checkout. I couldn’t ask for more. The bathroom had a slight odor, the toilet flush wasn’t great, and the room seemed to have only a quick vacuuming, but that didn’t affect my stay at all.

The grounds were nice with plenty of trees, and the food was good. The room was small and there was a lot of noise from the pub and people leaving.
