We found the place perfect for a stop on our overland trip to Soain with four dogs—spacious apartment, good outdoor area, very quiet location. The only drawback was the steep, winding road up from the village; it’s doable but can feel a bit hairy, especially at night, though it’s a very minor detail.

The view was nice, the bedroom and sheets were clean, and the shower had good water pressure; there was a big yard for my dogs. However, for the price I paid, the owner didn’t provide hand soap, shower amenities, or a kettle, and the two bath towels were too small and thin to dry off properly. The bathroom lacked a garbage receptacle, and the kitchen was very basic—no kitchen towels, wine glasses, a wine opener, or a kettle for hot water, and the small kitchen knife was dull. Overall, the owner paid little attention to detail; if you’re fine with just the basics, this place might suit you.

“Great hosts and great views”

The hosts were fantastic, especially when we had a car issue; the views from the property were great and parking felt secure. The only hiccup was that the hob wouldn’t work, which disrupted our dinner plans. The location offers great views, but getting there involves a long, twisty drive up the mountain.
