I didn't stay because the pictures and description made the place look like a hotel, but it was actually a shared house with one bathroom for everyone, and it just didn't feel safe, so I left before checking in.

It was absolutely horrendous—filthy and dirty, the bathroom was soaking wet underfoot, and there were no basics like soap or toilet paper; I had to buy tissues. We even considered taking a taxi back to Bristol because it was that bad. It shouldn’t be advertised as a guest house. I hated every moment, got up and left at 6.30 because I couldn’t bear to stay any longer.

They cancelled my reservation exactly when I was supposed to arrive, and they never mentioned the extra fee I’d have to pay before my stay—only an email, not the app—so I missed that detail.

The location was close enough to the city centre, but the room was absolutely revolting: it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a VERY long time; food was on the floor, the carpet was dirty and stained, the bedsheets were used, stained, and ripped, the walls were stained and ripped, and there was chewed gum on the bed. I will never stay there again and would strongly advise anyone to avoid it; I’m trying to get a refund because it wasn’t at all what was advertised.

The rooms were very nice and spacious, and the other seven tenants were respectful and friendly, with clean facilities except for the bathrooms. It was great to have access to the kitchen, dining room, and all the cutlery, and my bedroom was lovely, big, and clean. The hot water was a bit too hot for washing, and one night someone had the tumble dryer on early in the morning, which you could hear a little; it wasn’t terrible but could disturb sleep. The bathrooms could have been cleaned a bit before my arrival, but overall the price was good.
