The spot and the surroundings were great, but the room looked like it was stuck in the 1970s: a single room with a worn carpet that had a hole, wallpaper that seemed ripped from a kid’s bedroom, and racing car posters on the wall. Even though the rest of the hotel was clean, the room itself was in a generally poor state.

The location is great and the original building is beautiful, but it feels like stepping back into the 70s with loads of PVC that spoil an otherwise lovely structure.

The pool, breakfast, and large rooms were all great, and there was nothing negative.

The location is beautiful, the place is very clean, there’s a small sitting room plus a bedroom that was perfect for our dog, the toiletries were lovely, the pool is a good size and I was the only guest there, and overall it was very good value for money; the old‑fashioned elegance and luxury were impressive.
