“Adoramos a experiencia. Diferente de tudo que vivemos na viagem.”
It was a totally different, unexpected experience—a castle and family property with a very friendly, attentive family. Don’t expect a typical hotel, as it isn’t one. The garden is splendid and the rooms are huge and spacious. The property, however, has no restaurant; on the way there was a massive traffic jam caused by an accident, so we had to go straight to an outside restaurant. Once you know these conditions, you can avoid surprises. The listing doesn’t make this very clear, but it’s just a detail.
Peaceful and beautiful
“For us this was the perfect stay in a typical family run historic Breton Chateau.”
The chateau exudes charm and character, with rooms traditionally furnished to match the period. We stayed in Victor Hugo, and the gardens are attractive, meticulously maintained, mostly topiary. A small cafe and gift shop offer refreshments. The pool was peaceful and quiet. Breakfast in the exquisite dining room at a large table with other guests was very amicable, and the food was ample and varied. Don’t come here if you want TV in your room or ultra‑modern decor; this is a very traditional French chateau and a family home, and the owners are very welcoming. We will definitely return. Nothing at all.
“Если вы хотите отдохнуть душой, прикоснуться к прекрасным традициям, увидеть незабываемый сад и окунуться в прохладный б”
The hotel is superb, every corner is a work of art. The garden is amazing and can be admired endlessly. Breakfasts are wonderful, featuring local products. We will definitely return.
“Mooi kasteel”
The gardens and the large pool are great, but the lobby and breakfast area were disappointing.
