“Historic stay with a modern touch. Staying here feels like a movie”
The staff are so friendly, helpful, and genuine. This is my favorite hotel and I’ll be back again. The only downside is that I wasn’t there longer.

Everything about the experience was great except parking, which is an extreme challenge. You have to pay more than you’d like, and valet parking costs $50. I’d caution anyone who needs to park.

The hotel was lovely, with a very charming interior, hardwood floors, spacious rooms, and a large walk‑in closet; the ceiling fans were Minkaire and the bed was comfortable. The location was great if you want to walk to tourist areas. However, there was no coffee—only an electric kettle, a couple bags of instant coffee, and herbal tea. A local coffee shop next door helped, and a CVS was across the street. The restaurant was a bar with some small plate options, and there were many neighborhood restaurants that were pretty good. Housekeeping was essentially nonexistent; you had to call if you needed anything. There is no elevator or dumb waiter, so you have to haul your bags up the stairs unless you’re on the first floor.

The hotel and room furnishings were very tasteful, and the reception staff were very friendly. We had heavy luggage and, unfortunately, there was no elevator.

The location was good. The place smelled like dogs.
