The hotel’s location is the icing on the cake. We grew up around Lake Constance, but this feels like a six‑in‑a‑lot lottery win. Key sights are right nearby: the Phaeltbau, Mainau, Überlingen, Kloster Birnau, Kloster and Schloss Salem, Affenberg, the Mettnau with Bodman, the Linzgau with Heiligenberg, Mainau, the Zeppelin airport in Friedrichshafen, among others. Close by there are many E‑charging stations, including fast chargers.

“Geht schon so.”

Good, hearty breakfast. Very friendly staff. Spacious rooms. Dirty windows. Lots of spiders in the room. Unkempt outdoor areas. Renovation backlog around the stairwell, corridors and windows.

We arrived and the assigned room wasn’t ready. Had to wait until the beds were set up.

Das Frühstück war üppig, hatte auch regionale Angebote- und ging bis 10.30! Die Frühstücksterrasse war sehr angenehm, toll war die Liegewiese. Schade war, dass der See nicht mehr da war
