“Really nice budget accommodation in a convenient location”
The rooms were basic but perfectly comfortable. The A/C worked well and wasn’t too loud, which was welcome during a ferocious heatwave. Each room had a small veranda to sit on in front. It’s right on the riverbank, and there were a couple of hammocks to relax in. They offered bicycle and kayak hire and could arrange standard local tours. There was a limited restaurant on site, but it wasn’t very active when I was there because Champasak is really dead in low season. The owner was very friendly and spoke pretty good English. I would guess this is one of the best budget options in Champasak. The location is fairly good; some people might prefer to be more toward the southern end of town, but Anouxa is about midway between the area where the main riverside bars and restaurants are (not many of them) and the ferry terminal where you arrive from Pakse or elsewhere—about a 10‑15 minute walk to either, which I found very convenient.
