The room was tidy and set up functionally, and checking in was smooth. I’ve stayed at this hotel several times and was usually satisfied, but this time I was unlucky with the room: it was on the 4th floor with no elevator, so I had to carry my luggage up myself. The room was very small, with a slanted roof, and the bathroom ventilation was loud and couldn’t be turned off. I reported it at reception, and they offered me earplugs for purchase (!) while promising they would look into it. Nothing happened; the vent ran for four days. I had very noisy neighbors who came home drunk at 3 am. The hotel can’t control that, but the building is extremely drafty and the doors don’t close quietly. Those young men also kept their stinky sports shoes in the hallway for two days, and it seemed the staff didn’t mind. Overall, I slept poorly and felt that a staff member didn’t take me seriously. Too bad.
