“Desconfiança, falta de respeito”
When I arrived, I had a problem. I booked with a virtual card, presented my passport and they doubted it was me. They wanted the physical virtual card. Then they wanted to cancel the payment and redo it, even though the amount had already been charged to my card in August. They said it could be someone else using the reservation. Even with the invoice, they wouldn’t accept it. I didn’t want to cancel the purchase, especially because the operator has time to reverse it and the exchange rate. I waited a long time until a woman, maybe the manager, asked to see my credit card statement proving it was me. That was absurd. They asked for a physical card to hold 300 euros until everything was fine. But they wanted the same card I used to book the stay. I had my passport, all credit cards in my name, and driver’s license. That was absurd. I’ve stayed in many hotels in other countries and this never happened.
At check‑in, I was tired and still had to go through this. I didn’t have lunch because it took so long to release the room. They even doubted my passport. Booking needs to fix this urgently.
