A good hotel for visiting the wine road and the area around Kalternsee. Everything’s fine.

The location is central, which means you have to leave by 10 am or you can’t cross the pedestrian zone. Mopeds are safely parked in the courtyard. There’s an elevator to the rooms. The host greeted us warmly and told us to book directly next time instead of through Booking to save him costs—happy to spread the word. Breakfast was really good, especially the freshly sliced oat—rare in this convenience era. The only gripe: the church tower is visible and audible, which is annoying.

The hotel sits right in the center, and with a motorcycle you can drive through the courtyard entrance, partly covered. The rooms are clean and newly renovated, the breakfast is generous, and the staff are friendly. I’d come back if I’m in Kaltern again.
