“Stay with Tom”
The room was clean and roomy. Tom is adorable! Luisa makes no effort (she doesn't even say hello), whereas Ton is really great.

I appreciated how close it was to the airport, the low noise, and the calmness of the neighborhood. I also liked the generally positive attitude of people around, whether in the neighborhood or in the house. I read that many people say the value for price is good, but that is not really true. It might be true if you compare the price to that of a hotel or resort, but you can find the same or better quality for half the price and less on Fiji islands. So, in reality it is expensive. For example, I am staying now on Naviti Island for less than 50 percent in a room that is a lot more comfortable and also includes breakfast. There were some weird situations with the owners that I really disliked: misunderstandings in chat communications, they didn't seem very friendly at first but mainly money‑focused. They also put me in a room I didn't book—a simple room with two beds—while I had booked a room with one bed. I didn't complain, but then they wanted to put another guest on the other bed, and I complained. I stayed 3 nights. After a while I realized there was a child doing a considerable amount of the household work. I wasn't critical about that at first, but then I asked the child why it was always there and never went out, for example to meet friends. The child answered that it was not allowed to do so. I asked AI if illegal child labour is a topic in Fiji, and it is a big problem. Basically poorer families send their children to richer relatives in big cities like Nadi hoping for a better life, but those relatives often misuse those kids for work and give them very little freedom. I don't know what the case is here, but at least it is strange to see a child do a major amount of all work and not be allowed to go out. Thanks. PS: Since I saw other accommodations now, I adjust the rating to 1.

Luisa and her husband Tom are very nice and the communication went perfectly. They are very helpful and give useful tips. Additional services such as transfer to the harbor and/or airport are available for an extra fee. We used the service partially and were very satisfied. There was also a dinner and breakfast option. We could also refill our water bottles. The location is very quiet, although not far from the main street. At night we didn't hear any noise from the surroundings. When we first stayed, we were 8 guests at the same time. There is only one shower and one toilet—luckily it worked well for us because we used the shower at a corner time. The beds in one room were unfortunately not very comfortable because the mattresses were very thin.
