“Pleasant country stay and conveniently located in the village”

The staff were pleasant and helpful, and I appreciated being able to store my bag while exploring, the early check‑in, quick email replies, and the off‑site bakery food. The pub’s bistro was closed when I checked the opening times, but the animals, birds, village walkability, and the place to relax with coffee, cheese, and snacks were all enjoyable. However, the front entry was filthy, covered in dirt, water, and garden leaf litter. The bathroom shower floor and recess had dirty footprints, and the shower screen was covered in soap scum. The bedroom windows faced each other’s backyards, and while the curtains were nice, they didn’t block out light early in the morning. The TV was too small, making channel changing and viewing difficult from bed, and the cold linoleum floor could use a large rug, especially after a shower or getting out of bed.

It was lovely and clean, the bed was comfortable, and the bedding was lovely. The cafe served great coffee and cake.

“Not worth the money paid.”

The spot was pretty, but the bed rolled across the floor, there was no internet, no microwave, and the heating was inadequate.

The location is very convenient, right in the middle of town at the Dairy shed. The motel has a rustic, older style with large, country‑style rooms and is very clean.

“Pleased we stayed. A different experience. But a bit more attention to detail with the room would have improved things.”

The place is quirky in the best way. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The room was basically clean, but spider webs around the heater had been there a long time. The smoke detector was missing, only its shell remained. A second chair would have been helpful, as there was plenty of space for one.
