“It was ok, staff could have been friendlier”
The location is good. There was no reception, so I had to wait at the bar to be seen.

Our room was amazing: a mezzanine floor with two single beds, a huge comfortable bed on the main floor, plenty of space with enough mirrors, armchairs, an open‑plan bath area, and a separate shower and toilet/sink. It definitely has the wow factor. All staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast (extra cost) was really nice. The location is excellent for walking to the family wedding venue and then into beautiful Tetbury the next day. Nothing negative.

Everything about our stay was great. The room was perfect for the night, clean and nicely decorated. The bar and restaurant were lovely and traditional. My partner said the ale he had was so very very good. We ate our meal upstairs in the dining room, which had a nice atmosphere. We highly recommend the fish & chips. Breakfast was also perfect, and they weren’t worried about swapping items on the menu for us. All staff were kind and genuine people. We would gladly stay here again. The only downside was that we only stayed one night; we wish we had more time to stay longer.

The evening meal and breakfast were very good. The room was small but comfortable, with a good walk‑in shower. The outside steps to get to our room were a challenge for my husband, who is disabled, but the staff did try to get us a downstairs room, though they were all booked. There’s a good car park a few minutes’ walk behind the pub, but no disabled parking.
