The old house in Berat’s castle was a real gem—polite hosts, spotless room, and comfy bed. The only hiccup was the language barrier; we had to rely on Google Translate to get by. Also, there was no coffee available, which was a bit of a let‑down.

This place was super cozy and spotless—bed was comfy, the night was quiet, the bathroom was roomy, and the living room looked great. We only stayed two nights, which felt too short; next time we’d love to extend. Tomi and Kate were incredibly friendly and easy to chat with, even though we didn’t speak the same language, but we still had a great time together.

Nestled in the castle, the spot was perfect for hitting museums before crowds, plus the views were amazing. The room was simple but clean, with solid Wi‑Fi and great AC—though the architecture kept it cool on its own. The hosts were fantastic, staying in touch via WhatsApp and using phone translation to bridge the language gap. We got a lovely breakfast from Kate at Tommy’s shop on the way out, which capped off the trip nicely.
