The rooms were comfortable and the shower worked well, but the room had a cigarette smell when we arrived.

I was pleasantly surprised by how good the place turned out to be for the price; breakfast was self‑serve but decent, and the location was great. The only downside was the stairs everywhere, but overall there wasn’t much to complain about and the price was still a bargain.

The property is kept in good shape, and Paul and Julie visit daily to tidy up; they’re reachable by phone and very attentive. You can’t cook in the kitchen, but free snacks are provided and breakfast is actually pretty good. It’s not right in the city centre, but it’s within walking distance, and overall it offers good value for money, so I’d stay again.
