The English breakfast was good, the staff were very friendly and the bar was nice. Free parking was easy, the amenities were quality and water was free. The location was perfect for Clarkson, just a 1‑mile walk or a £12 taxi ride. The Wi‑Fi was poor, and I had to give an email address to log in, which I didn’t find necessary.

The staff were excellent.

The hotel and its surroundings were beautiful. The car park was large, the grounds lovely, and the location great for a trip to The Farmers Dog, only a 10‑minute walk away. We requested early check‑in and they accommodated us; their communication to sort it out was excellent. The food and breakfast options were lovely. We stopped by the Farriers, which is out the back next to the beer garden, and it can be noisy, but we stayed until after 11 pm.

The bed was comfortable, the towels were nice, and there was an outdoor eating area. The breakfast was substandard for £270 night, and a couple of guests left their breakfasts.
