“Well‑equipped tent near the beach”
The spot gave us a private tent that came with a fan, a backpack‑style rack for clothes and even a tiny kitchen where we could whip up our own meals. Being just a short walk from the beach was a real plus. Nothing really stood out as a problem – everything was fine.
“Good vibe, but security needs work”
The hostel concept works great – comfy beds, cheap rates, a prime location and volunteers who are genuinely nice. The only downside was the lack of a secure perimeter: anyone could wander in from the street, and while my lockable box saved my passport, a stranger walked away with a $90 hat I’d just bought. I’d come back if they added a proper door or better security.
