The sea view is nice. Over the five nights, the room service was only present once and only cleaned the beds, not the bathroom. The breakfast was very bad.

The garden was stunning, with beautiful plants and trees, and a large outdoor area right next to picturesque ocean views. When we didn’t like our initial room, the staff moved us into a much nicer villa. The pool was nice. However, breakfast was awful: two staff members took almost an hour to prepare the food. Coffee was served fairly quickly, but when the food finally arrived (by then the coffee was almost gone) the toast was stone‑cold and the bacon was cold and had no butter. We sent it back, and when it reappeared the toast and bacon were slightly warmer and more palatable, but still not worth eating again.

The accommodation was decent, and the swimming pool was a plus, but it would have been better if there was beach access for swimming. It would also have been nicer if the place were closer to the main road and if there were more shops and cafés nearby.

You can find peace here unless local large families are staying. The pool is fairly large and the garden is lovely. Our room consisted of two rooms with a connecting door, a large balcony/terrace, a big shower with plenty of water that was warm, and a refrigerator stocked with drinks. The room was clean and the towels were good. There is a restaurant, but we never used it because it seemed like no one was ever there. We went to San Juan for meals, including breakfast. Paliton Beach is about 7 minutes by scooter, with a 20‑Peso entrance fee. The guesthouse is fairly remote and you definitely need a vehicle. It takes about 15 minutes by scooter to San Juan. The sea at the accommodation isn’t suitable for swimming or snorkeling because it’s too shallow, and there’s no beach because it’s mostly surrounded by mangroves. The pool can only be used from 9 am.
