The location is good. The room feels quite outdated. Many furnishings are old, and several areas need maintenance and renovation. The room could definitely benefit from some updates to feel fresher and more comfortable.

This hotel is absolutely gorgeous, really great atmosphere and the room was stunning! I would highly recommend this hotel for a nice break away with the partner. It's definitely a place to impress he/she 😁. The only problem not mentioned in the booking info was the car park situation. I came from Portsmouth so wasn’t familiar with the area and expected onsite parking, but it’s first‑come, first‑serve, which caused issues when checking in. The receptionist was brilliant on the phone and listed nearby car parks, about a 5‑10 minute walk from the hotel, so not great if you’re carrying a lot of luggage!

Location, very clean, staff polite and attentive. Prices have increased, the bar closes before 11 pm, and although rooms are nice they’re a bit dated. No A/C etc.

Comfortable bed and nice bar. The door key system wasn’t working, so we had to ask a staff member to let us into our room when we needed to get in. It’s rather pricey for what you get.

More explanation of the “house rooms” and how many stairs with carrying luggage 🤦♀️. The lack of bellman to carry bags up the stairs
