“It was excellent”
Breakfast was good. The hot shower was excellent with great water pressure. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was also a plus with many good dining choices nearby. Afternoon cookies were a bonus. The bathroom light over the sink area could be brighter.
The facility was clean and good. Breakfast was better than most I’ve experienced; I especially really liked the sausage gravy, and enjoyed the crispy potatoes in the mornings. The staff were friendly and a pleasure to talk to. Thank you. The location was not easy to find because the entrance and location of the hotel is not off the main road but behind the furniture mall. But it’s worth the stay.

The young lady at the front desk told me that I had to also pay her $250.00 on top of the room that was already reserved. So I proceeded to explain to the young dark‑skinned lady that I didn’t have $250, I had already paid for the room. Long story short, she said it would have to be canceled if I didn’t pay the extra $250. So I asked her to cancel the transaction which she said she did. I slept in my car that night and I got charged as well. Now, this matter has never been looked into and no one ever called me to try and make things right. I understand that the Hiltons and whoever have plenty of $$$, I have what I worked for by the sweat of my brow, not by scamming people like a lot of these front desk clerks across North and South Carolina. I would greatly appreciate someone reaching out to me to make things right and make the Hickory, N.C. location a better place. It’s all recorded, everything is.
