“Catastrophique”
When we arrived, they told us the double room actually had three single beds instead of what we had booked. I had warned them about a feather allergy, yet they didn’t inform me that I would have to sleep without an pillow and told me I should bring my own pillow, claiming that “everyone who has an allergy usually does this.” They insisted it was “the norm in all hotels” and that a double room always consists of two single beds pushed together. The staff were unpleasant and insulting. Only the young woman tried to be helpful by offering us a free cancellation and covering the difference if we found a suitable room elsewhere near the hotel, but she made it clear that we were the problem and that we were lucky they were so generous and understanding. I want to note that we had paid for a double room and had informed them of the feather allergy fifteen days earlier without receiving any specific response. All of this was surrounded by insulting remarks from other staff members. I have never encountered such an insulting team elsewhere.
A small, friendly hotel in a very nice and quiet area, close to the metro. It feels a bit outdated, lacks air conditioning, the mini fridge has no water bottle, there’s no hair dryer, and the common areas are noisy. The price/quality ratio is average for these shortcomings.
The location is ideal, close to Paris and transport links. The bathroom tiles look a bit outdated.
The owners were kind, the neighborhood was pleasant, and the restaurant was good. The downside was the noise from the market setup under the windows early on Sunday mornings.
Es ist ein kleines, sauberes Hotel etwas außerhalb des Zentrums. Die Metro ist gleich daneben. Mit der Linie 4 kommt man direkt zum Gare du Nord. Nette Umgebung mit vielen verschiedenen Lokalen. Sehr kleines Badezimmer ohne zusätzliche Lüftung. Es war aber sehr sauber
