“Pudo haber sido perfecta…Pero…”
The facilities were clean and in good condition, and the surrounding scenery was wonderful. However, the Venezuelan receptionist gave us a hard time. At check‑in she told us we could check in at 15:00, and we arrived right away, starving, only to be told there was no food service, just snacks, and that we should call a restaurant in town. When we looked into it, we found that wasn’t true. We placed an order for eight people, she said it would take a little over an hour, but three hours later she still hadn’t given us a time, only saying the food needed to be defrosted, and her tone was downright rude. Also, despite confirming our arrival, the jacuzzi wasn’t ready; we were told it would take hours to fill and heat, and it never warmed up. The bubbles didn’t work either, so we waited another couple of hours for a technician who managed to get the bubbles on, but she turned the system off at 19:00 even though she was only supposed to be on duty until 21:00, giving us barely half an hour of use. We didn’t have any towels or cleaning cloths, and when my mother mentioned that we needed them for the distilled water on the glasses, the receptionist responded absurdly and rudely that no one was going to clean there. After the earthquake, I asked for a broom, dustpan and mop to clear the windows and avoid an accident; she answered from a half‑open door that she assumed was her room, even though she had said she’d been on the job for only an hour or so.
