Nice new hotel in a quieter part of town, with a ton of restaurants nearby. We were just a 10‑minute walk from the Lancang River and a 15‑minute stroll to the night market, and parking was free right outside the main entrance. Stayed three nights in room 1607, a south‑side corner balcony, and the mattress was super comfy. All the tech worked and breakfast ran until 10:30, plus there’s a soup kitchen with fresh noodle soups.

The bed and pillows were super comfy, but the breakfast was a mess—no coffee, loud guests, and the pool was freezing.

Location is a blast—close to everything, scooters for rent, a healthy breakfast, staff super friendly, even bug spray at the desk, and the rooftop pool gives killer city views. The gym, though, was a letdown: no towels, no water, and the AC was barely working.

Room is spacious for downtown, but the area is a bit too busy for a relaxed vacation. Also, the building photo online is misleading; the real look is different.
