Overall, a good stay. The owner was very nice and welcoming, and the room was comfortable. Just keep in mind that although it’s listed as “beachfront,” the beach is actually about a 5‑minute walk across the road and there is no sea view. That was a little misleading, but otherwise it was a pleasant stay.

The host family was incredibly kind. They have a big dog, but it’s super cute. The location is great—just a bit quieter, but with a tuk‑tuk you’re in the busy part of Negombo in two minutes. Nothing else to note.

The staff were kind, the facility was clean and quiet, and I felt at home. However, there was no Wi‑Fi information provided; after asking, I entered a password and got a brief connection, but the signal was weak and unusable. The hot shower didn’t work at first; after asking, water finally came out, but the next morning when I tried again, water still flowed, so the hot water switch might be in a different location. The amenities listed were misleading: there was only a small soap, and after asking, a shampoo arrived. The person who brought it mentioned the brand and wore a helmet, so I thought they had bought it, but it turned out to be just water. I tried using the empty shampoo bottle, but it produced almost no foam and was mostly water, so I washed my hair with soap instead. A hair dryer was provided, but the plug didn’t fit the outlet, and since it was night I didn’t want to bother asking again, so I dried with a towel. The next morning I got an adapter, rewetted my hair, and finally used the dryer.

The hosts were very nice and genuinely concerned about our well‑being. The facilities were a bit plain.
