“Was worth what I paid but wouldn’t want to pay anymore (£50pn)”

The place was cozy, the pub right next door was great, and everything you’d need was easy to find. However, the water pressure was weak, the shower head was low (6ft1), and the stairs were extremely steep. I had to park on the street because 5 spaces in the car park were taken, so a long stay would have been a real hassle.

“A good nights sleep in a comfortable bed.”

The accommodation was comfortable, clean, and conveniently located for transport links, and the landlord was welcoming and friendly.

“Nice pub, poor accommodation.”

The pub itself was lovely, with nice food and good beer in a pleasant setting. The rooms, however, were in an outbuilding and best described as ‘rustic’; mine sat up a very steep flight of stairs, which was fine for me but would be tough for anyone with mobility issues. The room could use a refurbishment, especially the bathroom, and it wasn’t particularly clean. The bed was broken, making it really uncomfortable – I reported this in the morning but the manager seemed only concerned about how it would affect his day, showing no appreciation for my poor experience. I’d eat or drink there again, but I won’t be staying!

“Not the best”

The accommodation was comfortable and the pub was nice. The room was only half made up. There were tea & coffee making facilities but no cups to drink out of, and there was no bin in the bathroom either.

The location was good, the room was basic but had a comfortable bed and clean fresh bedding and towels. Parking was available, which was a plus. Even though it was at a pub, it was quiet. I didn’t eat at the pub, but the food looks good and the menu was decent. I would be happy to stay there again. For the price, you couldn’t complain.
