Located in Schriesheimer Tal, on the edge of the Odenwald Forest, Hotel Scheid offers regional and international cuisine, a cocktail bar, and a traditional beer garden overlooking the idyllic forest. Each room features a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, and some have balconies with scenic views of the spacious garden. The hotel offers a buffet breakfast, room service, and barbecue facilities.

The room and bathroom were very clean, the furnishings modern and the beds comfortable. Breakfast was acceptable, but for a hotel of this size we expected more, and the staff in the breakfast area were not very attentive about refilling the buffet. The friendliness of the breakfast staff was lacking.

The location near the highway was great, but parking became a hassle if you arrived a bit later.

The front desk staff were friendly and humorous, but the room’s cleanliness left something to be desired; a quick response came with a new room. The place was very noisy, with the neighbor audible, and the toilet flush and water pipes were loud.

Breakfast was adequate, I would have liked some fresh fruit! Service was excellent. The bistro had a relatively long wait. The wrong drink—Cuba Libre with whisky—was given, and only after asking was a brief explanation provided, unfortunately not available. A bit of lemon juice was added later, yet I was still fully charged!
