Berghouse and Cottages

The views were beautiful and breakfast was really nice, but the only towel had a brown stain when we arrived, the room didn’t have swimming towels even after we asked, the glasses were dirty and dusty, the pool water looked green, and the beds in the two cottages were hard and uncomfortable; after posting the review, we were contacted and asked to remove it instead of being asked to explain and fix the problems.

We stayed in a gorgeous farm with horses, sheep, and stunning open spaces, offering plenty of ways to wander around. The pool was breathtaking and uniquely designed, almost like a natural spring. For dinner we chose the BBQ (Bari) meal, which was excellent, and breakfast was also superb. Overall, everything was delivered to a luxurious, special room. The rooms were large and airy, overlooking the horses, with every detail considered to make the space feel extraordinary – plush fleece blankets, cozy seating corners, a fully equipped kitchen, heated blankets, and a mini‑bar inside the room. The most amazing part for us were the sweet, kind hosts who helped with everything, even going above and beyond when we arrived with a flat tire. The farm felt very family‑friendly and welcoming, giving us a warm, beloved vibe. It truly had a unique atmosphere unlike any other place I’ve been to; everything was aesthetic, tasty, and of very high quality. I highly recommend it to anyone in the area – it’s a must‑visit spot.

The accommodation is beautifully furnished and offers a breathtaking view. Breakfast and dinner can be added and delivered straight to the room. Since there’s no supermarket nearby, you can buy drinks on site, which we liked. You can even cook in the well‑equipped kitchen. A pizzeria nearby delivers until 6 pm. The Royal Natal National Park is about a half‑hour drive away. The staff are really nice and helpful. One thing to note is that the property is about 3 km off the main road, reached by a slightly rough gravel path that’s steeper in places. Outside the beautiful nature, there’s almost nothing else nearby, which we appreciated but should be known beforehand. During our stay, the pool had no water, and we weren’t informed about that.
