The Grand Istana Rama Hotel is situated just steps from Kuta Beach and close to Kuta Square and the vibrant nightlife of Legian Street. The hotel features an outdoor pool with a sunken bar, weekly yoga and cultural activities, and rooms equipped with cable TV, tea/coffee facilities, a minibar, and a safety deposit box.

The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the food scored 10/10. The pool was clean and relaxing, the swim‑up bar was a bonus and the cheap drinks during happy hour were delicious, and the all‑you‑can‑eat buffet breakfast and dinner were great. Location 10/10 across from Kuta beach. The only issue was that I booked a private garden room, but when we arrived there was a joining room next door with a door between them (obviously locked) that let us hear everything happening between guests.

The layout and quietness of the rooms were excellent. The only downside was that I couldn’t book things up to the room and pay at reception. Maybe they could add more day beds at the pool.

I believe the breakfast menu could benefit from a slight change, as the food is the same every day. The location is perfect, and you can see the ocean. NA
