Everything was perfect, everything was very nicely furnished and very clean. The host family Tischner were very friendly and always accommodating. Every complaint or request was handled immediately and with a smile to our satisfaction. The food in the restaurant was simply delicious. The atmosphere inside was very welcoming. In the restaurant there were also many locals and other guests from outside, which always leaves a positive impression. The breakfast could be more varied, but otherwise it was good.

The Berghof is a traditional hotel in the centre of the village but in a quiet little side‑street – a beautiful old house with wrap‑around flower‑clad balconies. Our room was in a quiet part of the hotel – comfortably furnished, and spacious enough. The hotel owner was a perfect host – he tried his best to meet every request (such as for an easily accessible parking space) and made everyone feel warmly welcome. Breakfast was good and so was dinner, on the occasions when we had our evening meal there. Our balcony faced the back of the house and the ventilation shaft from the kitchen ran through a corner of the balcony, causing noise and vibration on those evenings when the restaurant was open. However, as we were there during the hottest part of the summer, this room and balcony at the side received only brief hours of direct sunshine which made it easier to keep cool, and so we did not ask to change the room.

The place was pretty clean, and we were given a simple but nice room with a big balcony covered in flowers. Being on a side street kept the stay quiet and silent. The in‑house restaurant was good, and they handed us an Alpbachtal Card that gave free transport services and other offers (check the website for details).

The welcome was very warm and the host was great. The restaurant was nice with tasty food and fair prices. The rooms were newly renovated and exceptionally clean. The breakfast buffet had a somewhat limited selection, and if you arrive later there were no eggs left. Unfortunately, the room lacked a fridge and a smart TV.
