“Good choice for sun rise trekking. Clean and new with hot pool. Value to price”

The spot is great for hikers, letting you start Mt. Batur from the hotel and saving 30‑60 minutes versus the usual trailhead. The pool offers a lovely view and warm water, and we booked two rooms with a third empty, so we had the pool to ourselves. The room was clean and new. However, there were plenty of flies, and breakfast arrived late—though we requested 8:30, it didn’t arrive until about 9:15. The on‑site food selection was limited and slow to serve.

The location is fantastic, though the road up is a bit bumpy. The lodging is peaceful, clean, and offers a great view. The swimming pool is filled with fresh, warm spring water. The host was very helpful and friendly.

The room was perfect, the pool was heated with hot spring water, the setting was beautiful, and the SPA service was highly competent. The restaurant was mediocre, and there were a lot of flies (as in the whole area, but you should know). We stayed two nights, which was enough.

The location is convenient for starting hikes because it’s already on the mountain. The pool has volcanic hot water with a view. The staff is friendly, and the hiking guide was truly great. Expect to bring cash because the hotel and its associated restaurant only accept cash, and the nearest ATM is a 5‑minute drive away; the establishment charges 100k rupiah to withdraw for you. Isolation, with no Gojek or Grab in the area, means you can get stuck on a very difficult road, and then you’re asked for 650k rupiah for less than an hour of travel to get out—feels like a scam and very unpleasant. The region is full of flies, but that’s typical; staying outside for long periods is quite bothersome.
