Hotel Pacific is a boutique hotel situated in the heart of Monterey, within walking distance to the Monterey Conference Center. This luxurious hotel is 3 km from the Monterey Bay Aquarium and other top area attractions. Each suite features a fireplace, luxurious feather bedding, and a bathroom with a separate tub and shower, set amidst Spanish-style adobe decor and lush private gardens.

The hotel was very disappointing and not worth the money we paid; the shower had no hot water and no water pressure, it’s right by a busy road so it’s loud and hard to sleep, breakfast was awful, the beds were uncomfortable, and the towels were small & thin – one of the worst places I’ve stayed.

The location and breakfast were fine; the staff could be nicer, the spa was not accessible for half our stay, they skimped on towels, there are no robes anymore, and the place needs a refresh.

The property feels very cute with a villa vibe, there are plenty of outdoor spots to hang out and relax with coffee, the room was comfortable and clean, and breakfast was a hit for the husband and kids; the parking was a bit of a hassle – even after paying for the garage we had trouble finding a spot, but everything else was great.

The location was perfect, within walking distance to the Wharf and a short drive to Cannery Row, and the beds and pillows were very comfortable; however, the hotel has the potential to be spectacular but the grounds have been somewhat neglected, breakfast was so‑so, some rooms are dark and dungeon‑like, and we had to ask to be moved.

The hotel sits close to the fishermen wharf, but parking is a hassle and mice can be heard in the walls near the fireplace in the suites on the 4th floor.
