It was a good stopover because it’s near the highway/main road, a very functional hotel with vending machines. The location is a bit shady behind a gas station and right next to some kind of casino or the like. Breakfast was more functional than cozy.

The rooms and toilets were very clean and the breakfast was fine. The coffee in the machine was awful, and I had to wait a long time for a fresh pot. The reception staff seemed disengaged, wore no uniform and were in their own clothes and shoes (flip‑flops???) which felt unprofessional. The breakfast staff didn’t speak good Swedish and I had to repeat myself several times for them to understand. Kind regards, a rep and breakfast staff.

The breakfast was good and the staff were friendly, but the air quality in the room was a bit poor during the night.

Breakfast was good, but I found it a bit hard to understand how to pay for the double and single rooms.

This is the best hotel in Karlstad; there are no negatives, the staff is excellent, the breakfast is normal, the place is clean and stylish, there’s no annoying traffic, and parking is free.
