We had to forgo staying because the room had a strong smell of mice. The bathroom was in a separate space with a persistent sewage odor. When we told the owner we could not stay under such conditions, he said it was normal and refused to understand our needs. Despair and disappointment. We had to urgently find a place to stay.

The place was clean and the mattress comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious. On the second night a cat ended up on my bed, having slipped in through the open window because of the odor, which I found cozy, though I can see it might not suit everyone. The bed itself was very narrow; a plank along one side made it impossible to turn without bumping into it. The toilet paper ran out for two days, and a horrible sewage smell lingered. They tried to mask it with scent sprayers, but the noise from the device made it worse. I raised a complaint, received an apology but no compensation. I skipped the last of the three nights I’d booked because of the smell and still received no compensation despite requesting it.

We had a lovely stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and cosy, and everything matched our expectations. The hosts were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful, making us feel right at home.
