Location, apartment amenities (refrigerator, washing machine, good air‑conditioning, comfortable bed in the two‑bedroom room), sun loungers that can be taken to the beach, the owner’s hospitality, welcome gifts, etc. Arriving in the early afternoon, it’s easy to find parking right beside the apartment; later at night you have to look around the neighborhood. Nothing negative.

The hostess was very friendly and helpful, and the room was lovely with all the comforts. The best part was free parking right in front of the accommodation. The only downside was that there was no kitchen—just a corner with a coffee maker, toaster, a small hand oven, and a tiny fridge.

It was supposed to be our last night in Sicily (well, our flight got cancelled and we had to extend), and it turned out to be the cherry on top: the lodging was really cute and so cozy, but what about our host Giusy—she truly embodies sweetness and kindness. Our only regret is that we stayed only one night. Syracuse is a city worth visiting.
