The view is amazing and Alonso is super nice! It’s a great spot for a more rustic and special feel. If you’re after something that isn’t your average hotel, this is the place. Everything matched the description; we don’t handle the lack of AC in Costa Rica well, but that’s on us.

I absolutely adored this spot. The view was fantastic and the location was perfect for trips to Poas and La Paz. The bus was well equipped, the bed was comfy, and the bathroom and shower were good. Directions were brilliant and self‑check‑in was a breeze. It’s become my favorite place to stay in Costa Rica. Nights can get chilly, days are hot. If you’re heading up to Poas, avoid the shortest route on Google or Waze unless you’re driving a high‑powered 4x4; some sections are extremely steep with a 50% incline. Take the route the bus takes—it’s only a little longer.
