The hotel itself is clean and well-maintained, with a private onsen that was a wonderful experience.
The Japanese meals were excellent, and this was a wonderful stop on our journey.

“A modest ryokan in Kawaguchiko.”
The onsen was great, and I didn’t realize they offered ryokan‑style services here; the massage chairs were a wonderful discovery—I had no idea they could feel so good. We stayed just one night, so I can’t say much more. The facilities were a bit dated, and the walk from the train station to the hotel felt endless in the midday heat in July.

The employees were very polite and attentive, and I loved the on‑sen; although the room felt a bit dated, the hot‑spring facilities were well kept, the water was pleasant, and the toiletries were nice, which helped recover from my exhausting days in Kyoto. There were also foot‑massaging and full‑body massage chairs, plus free cold drinks beside the baths. The bathroom was extremely small and some of the room fittings were a little old.
The rooms felt authentic and traditional, the Onsen was fantastic, and the staff were incredibly friendly.
