“Beautiful tranquil villa”
The guesthouse is a beautiful villa that used to be a family home. Our room was spacious and comfortable with direct access to a well‑designed patio and pool area. The bed was large and comfy, everything spotless. Maria and Domingos were wonderful hosts; Maria is a warm, lovely person and mentioned a nearby restaurant, Sao Domingos, which we visited for dinner and found the vegetarian food excellent. Highly recommended if you’re in the area. The only downside was that our bathroom had only a bathtub, so standing showers were impossible—no issue for me, but my tall husband had a bit of trouble. A small table with a kettle and glasses in the room would have been handy, but there’s a kitchen just outside the door, so we could easily make tea or get water.
