“Tranquil Eco Lodge on Roatan”
Really appreciated the spaciousness of the room, features such as chilled water dispenser, comfortable beds and pillows, in-room espresso machine, rack for drying swimwear, chair hammock, AC and fans and no televisions! I also loved the Sunken Fish restaurant and their several vegan options. Also staff was excellent. Really only two things. The music selection at restaurants was odd (80s-90s pop) that we felt didn’t mesh with the Caribbean Latin setting, more local music would have been better (Latin Caribbean reggae or kettledrum instrumentals). Also, I took out a SUP board one afternoon and was disappointed. I know about SUP, with 11 years experience on professional equipment. The board would not track straight and the paddle could not adjust in length and had a blade that flexes—making it difficult to put power into the stroke as the blade would bend backwards. Beginner paddlers would not notice these faults but if they complain about going in circles and not being able to go anywhere, there is your answer
