A quirky design that works well for one or two young travelers. It was great to have a laundry machine, a fridge, and plenty of other conveniences.
“Интересно място”
The location was excellent and very convenient for us. The interior design was incredibly interesting and we loved it! The place was fully equipped. Communication was also great! I would stay here again. The bathroom would be uncomfortable for a longer stay, but we definitely appreciate the creativity and how the space is organized.
“Avontuurlijke ervaring. Heerlijk bed!”
Hele leuke ervaring gehad in Home of the Gnome. Creatief ingedeeld appartement. Ik voelde mij er net een fantasie figuur. Heb genoten van de muurschilderingen en avontuurlijke indeling. In de cocon douche voelde ik me net een elfje haha. We hebben flink gelachen erom. Hygiëne is goed. Alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig. Het bed lag heerlijk. Beter dan in vele andere accomodaties. Wij raden deze plek aan. Het is echt een ervaring. Niet geschikt voor mensen die slecht ter been zijn!. Niks. Hebben echt genoten
“Außergewöhnlich, in jedem Sinne. Top Lage, freundlich-hilfsbereiter Gastgeber, angemessener Preis”
Home of the Gnome lives up to its name: it’s small, cozy, and has everything you need in a holiday apartment—just a bit cramped. You climb narrow stairs by the kitchenette and a shower curtain to the bed under the roof. It’s original, especially for kids. Otherwise, there’s enough space for two with a small living and dining area. Our host Admar was perfect and very helpful, even finding an easy parking solution for us. The apartment is a 10‑minute walk to the city center, museums, restaurants, right in a typical Dutch residential area—ideal. If you’re okay with the slightly tight conditions, this place is absolutely recommended, especially considering the price‑performance ratio. On the downside, if you book a dwarf’s apartment, don’t expect a palace. The narrow, stuffy bunk can be cooled with the AC, and if someone is cooking, no one should think of going to bed or the shower because you always have to climb past the kitchenette. For those with mobility issues, the tiny apartment isn’t suitable, which is why I give it one point off. The location, friendly host, and reasonable price more than compensate for the limited comfort.
“Prettig appartement met het karakter van een tiny house met split level. Hele rustige straat.”
A truly special, creative, and affordable spot to stay, even for multiple nights. The bed was wonderful. You can cook and wash your clothes there. A supermarket is just around the corner. It’s basically a tiny house on the upper floor of a residential building with clever use of space. The shower cabin is fairy‑tale like, but you have to be a bit flexible to get in. The host is friendly and helpful. The quiet street is in a nice neighborhood on the south side of Eindhoven’s center. I was there for a two‑day training in the center and could walk there. The days were warm and I appreciated the quiet air‑conditioner. Highly recommended.
