The location and the friendliness of the staff stood out, and the restaurant was excellent, featuring local produce. The path to the property is narrow, steep, and stony, so a good car is essential for access.

The old estate was beautifully prepared with great care, offering authentic Italian cuisine that made for a lovely evening with music beneath the large canvas awnings. The drive up the mountain via the old, very narrow cross path, partly unpaved, feels like a small adventure and requires precision; it isn’t suitable for wide vehicles. The charm of the imperfect is part of its appeal.

The food was outstanding and the wine‑pairing advice was excellent; breakfast was very typically Italian and everyone loved it, and the whole property was beautifully decorated. The only downside was that some of the animals, especially the dog in the courtyard, didn’t seem well‑kept, and the children’s playground was fenced off, which disappointed the kids who wanted to play. Reaching the courtyard was spectacularly tricky—wide cars (over 1.95 m) struggle on the steep road, so you need good driving skills and solid brakes.

Very nice, but you need a jeep to get there.

The restaurant offered a nice view, but that was the only highlight. Getting to the restaurant was a nightmare: the path was over 700 m and far more difficult than described, then a shuttle took us back down only to drop us in the city for our room. Our room and bathroom were dirty, making us uncomfortable. The next morning we asked to be picked up for breakfast; staff said someone would arrive in five minutes, yet nobody showed up. After waiting until 8 am we called again, still got no answer, and after another hour‑and‑a‑half outside we were told the same thing repeatedly. In the end our husband walked the roughly 2 km uphill, checked things out and drove us back. Not suitable for families with children; we won’t return.
