“A Convenient Motel on the Outskirts of a Small Town”
It sits right near a highway ramp. The rooms are very roomy, and the beds are spacious. The TV picture is crystal clear with a wide selection of channels. Breakfast offers hot dishes like scrambled eggs and sausages. With several restaurants within easy walking distance, I could leave my car at the motel, walk over, and enjoy a drink. The room didn’t have enough toilet paper rolls and seemed like they’d run out after two nights. There was only one lever on the bathroom wall to control the water temperature, and the switch to change between the faucet and the shower—usually located above the faucet—was missing. I didn’t know how to switch the hot water from the faucet to the shower, so I couldn’t shower on the first day. Later, a front‑desk staff member told me I could turn on the shower by pulling down the ring below the faucet. When I turned the lever to the right to turn off the hot water, the ring that had been pulled down snapped back into place, and hot water started flowing from the faucet again.
