“Made check-in impossible, ignored every attempt to resolve it, kept my money”

Do not book this property and do not expect basic decency if something goes wrong. My flight changed, and I landed in Barcelona at 12:05 am. When I called before arrival to arrange check‑in, I was told the check‑in closed around 11:30 pm–midnight, with 12:30 am as the absolute latest— a restriction that was nowhere visible when I booked. There is no key box and no self‑check‑in of any kind, so arriving after their cutoff means you simply cannot get into the accommodation you've paid for. I accepted this and booked alternative accommodation, I did ask for a refund for the first night, but accepted the reality of the situation. I offered them every reasonable solution: a refund for just the first night, with me checking in the next day and keeping the rest of the reservation; continuing the full stay if someone could help with my luggage (the property has no lift, which I only discovered later, and I had a muscle injury — I even offered to pay for the help); or a full cancellation if they couldn't accommodate any of this. They responded to nothing. I followed up the next morning, ready and willing to check in that day, and followed up again after that day's check‑in time had already begun. Still nothing — complete silence. I was standing by to take the room I had paid for, and they wouldn't even confirm whether I could walk through the door. Left with no answer, I had to book emergency replacement accommodation at a cost of roughly AUD $2,800 — while they kept the full payment for a stay they made impossible. I have attached the entire WhatsApp exchange documenting all of this. Undisclosed check‑in restrictions, no lift, no self‑check‑in, and total refusal to communicate the moment there's a problem. “I enjoyed it very much despite the minor inconvenience of the stairwell light”

Very central. Clean. Well equipped. The stairwell light was off for two days, so I had to use my phone to climb up and down from the property.

“Spacious Airbnb at the perfect location with a fair price!”

Perfect location right in front of the Sitges beach. Anywhere is walking distance! Spacious family room that has AC and Samsung TV! There’s a terrace too. We really enjoyed it! Catherine is super kind and friendly and responded to all our requests timely! Wifi could be better.
