“Kitnet perfeito no coração da Rocinha”

Staying at Angela’s was amazing. I spent 20 days there and the apartment had everything I needed: fast internet for remote work, a fully functional kitchen suitable for two people, a good shower, a comfy bed, a spectacular view, and plenty of privacy. Two bus lines run within a block of the apartment, plus there’s a 24‑hour van and moto‑taxi service. The metro station at the Rocinha entrance and various other buses are nearby, and Brazilians can use the Jaé app for cheaper integration. I was alone and most days I arrived or left at night or in the early morning, which was very calm and safe. It’s generally quiet enough to work and sleep. It’s about a block from the lively Pedacinho do Céu, where a drone filming takes place. Everything is within a block and open 24 h or late at night: pizza places, bakeries, restaurants, grocery stores, laundries. Her husband and son‑in‑law arranged a transfer for me, and a young man helped carry my luggage (the stairs are a bit tough with large bags alone). That service costs extra; request it beforehand. If you respect and understand the place, it’s wonderful. I’ll definitely come back if I get the chance. Acabou!

“Increíble lugar”

The room felt pretty comfortable, which was nice for a quick stop. Nothing really stood out beyond that, but it got the job done. I’d say it’s fine if you just need a place to rest without any frills.

“Merci Rocinha”

The view from the balcony was stunning, and the spot itself was straightforward—nothing fancy, but everything was spotless. The staff member who helped us was incredibly friendly, really made the stay pleasant. All in all, a clean and pleasant place with a great outlook.

Rocinha is hands down the most beautiful part of Rio, and I loved wandering around it. The only downside was a bit of rain that showed up, but it didn’t ruin the experience. Still, the scenery made up for the drizzle.
