This hotel is great—ignore the negative reviews; the room was excellent, free Wi‑Fi and bottled water were included, the location is very central, the beds are comfortable, and the rooms are spacious.

The staff were friendly, the rooms were clean, spacious and offered a wonderful view, daily housekeeping was excellent, and I loved having a bath in the ensuite; the Chicago marathon facilities were fantastic and much appreciated, though it would be nice to have a toaster or microwave in the room or available downstairs for the marathon weekend.

The staff were very kind and helpful, although there was no kettle, but every morning free water, coffee, and tea were available in the reception area.

The ambiance and location are fine, yet everything feels poorly conceived and designed to inconvenience guests for the property's benefit; no vanity kits, tea, or coffee are provided in the rooms and must be requested; room service is careless and inconsiderate, leaving clean clothes in dusty areas and mixing up toothbrushes in the bathroom; lighting in the room is limited, etc.
