I landed right by the Bressay ferry and the hosts were fantastic, letting us check in at 10am. The house had a lot of character and the meals were hearty, giving me a real taste of life in Shetland.

The room was spacious and cozy with a large bathroom, and the staff were warm and welcoming, especially since we were so close to the Bressay Ferry. Every morning the breakfast was hearty and well presented, and the evening meals were just as good.

The food was excellent and cooked well, but I didn’t realize we had to book the evening meal at breakfast time; I thought it would still be available if we arrived later in the evening.

The hotel was freshly renovated, quiet, and the breakfast and other meals were outstanding, but on Mondays everything shuts down, even the bar for residents, and the food, while tasty, feels pricey.
