It was perfect on the Via Francigena. Central, in the medieval quarter, nice bars right around the corner. Quiet. Very good for sleeping. The only downside was the cumbersome online check‑in.

I think the location is one of the most exclusive in Viterbo, and even though it’s close to bars, it still enjoys tranquility. The only issue is the staircase to reach the room, a bit steep.

The location is well cared for. Small details that could make a difference, like missing towel hooks for the sink and bidet in the bathroom.

A lovely trip to the Tuscia capital was partially ruined by this accommodation. The B&B is in Viterbo’s historic centre and is not reachable by car. When we asked for parking advice, the manager replied with a link to the free parking on the city walls. Unfortunately, the manager didn’t tell us about a similarly convenient elevator (which was hardly mentioned at all, we didn’t even see it) to reach the historic centre, forcing us to climb about 20 minutes with our luggage. The accommodation is very basic: reasonably clean, mattresses and pillows have seen better days and are not of good quality. The TV doesn’t pick up terrestrial digital channels, only Netflix and Ray Play; the air‑conditioner works poorly, and with the heat it was a real discomfort. The windows lack curtains, only having blackout blinds. Finally, the bathroom, where it’s hard to reach the shower, is full of limescale. As a cherry on top, the hot water didn’t work in the morning. When we reported it, the manager responded impersonally, saying a technician would be sent. When? Nobody knows… only after other guests had finished washing in other rooms did a trickle of lukewarm water reach us, a clear sign of an insufficient system. The absolutely impersonal and sterile relationship with the property also prevented us from learning about the various initiatives planned in Viterbo during our visit. For us, it’s a clear example of inattentive and approximate hospitality that, if it suits the wallets of this type of manager, does no good for tourism or the image of our country.

The location and simple management are great.
