The décor was minimalist yet comfortable. The dinner prices were outrageous—150k for a mie goreng. I decided to order for two, and the owner still gave us two portions for the same price, which was kind but still felt like a tourist trap.

The owner and staff were friendly, the facilities were clean, and the outdoor area was beautiful. Dinner was reasonably priced. The owner generously drove me to the beach at no cost because the road was too rough for motorbikes, which I really appreciated. Overall a great experience; I would definitely recommend staying at Sea the See.

The owner and staff at Sea the Sea were friendly. Breakfasts were hearty, included in the room rate, and dinners were reasonably priced, prepared with care from local farm and fish ingredients. A short drive takes you to spectacular waterfalls and traditional villages, and the sunset views of the Patiala Bawa cost. However, you need to bring your own transport because there is no public transport and some rocky roads must be crossed to reach the beautiful white‑sand beaches, with several bad, unmade roads leading to the beaches.

This was the most wholesome stay in Sumba. The facilities are modest, comfortable, and well equipped. The garden is a tranquil paradise for plant lovers. But the real highlight is Agung and his team; from the moment you arrive you feel like family rather than a guest. The kindness, generosity, and constant extra efforts are unlike any other stay I've had. Agung has become a lifelong friend and I will stay with him whenever I can.
