Gite Gliz

We stayed two nights at this lodge to explore the High Atlas. Arriving from Oukaïmeden, we chose not to drive on the rough dirt track and instead walked the roughly one‑hour route, which was a great way to enjoy the stunning scenery. The lodge itself is pleasant, the terrace is a real highlight, and the meals are delicious. We also had the chance to use a guide recommended by the manager for a day in the mountains. The nightly rate feels somewhat high given the services offered, especially when booked through the platform. Additionally, the manager was absent and the on‑site staff spoke only limited French or English.

For a mountain lodge, the welcome, friendliness, breakfast, and amenities were excellent; we were cycling gravel and the place was perfect. A bit more signage would have made finding the lodge easier, though the kids kindly guided us.

“Sitio top de tranquilidad y paisaje”

The site was very quiet, in a privileged spot for scenery. Getting there could be tricky if it rains; we arrived at night and it was a bit of an odyssey both by car and on foot.

The owner was excellent—very helpful and informative—and the food was good. The remote mountain location makes it a challenge to find.

I had a warm and welcoming experience at this gîte, with delicious Moroccan meals and a beautiful view from the top of the mountain. The staff were attentive and friendly, and I appreciated the peaceful surroundings. The gîte itself was clean and comfortable, and I felt right at home. I would highly recommend this gîte to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.
